The £7.5m centre began construction in February 2015 as part of Tewkesbury Borough Council’s plan to rejuvenate the town centre. The new centre replaces the existing 40-year-old Cascades Leisure Centre which will be demolished once the build is completed. The ambitious project provides much bigger facility than the previous centre giving the community modern amenities including; a 25m main swimming pool, learner pool, sauna and steam room, 60-station gym, 2 activity studios, café and a shop. It also includes fun attractions such as aqua jets, water fountains and spouts. Spectile Ltd worked alongside construction contractors Willmott Dixon and Pozzoni architects on this project, supplying their technical tiling package to the pool tanks, pool surrounds and changing area floors.
